Job Description
Progress Coach
Temporary | Contract
Location: the Wales
Start date: November 2026
Are you passionate about supporting learners and ready to help them stay on track towards achievement?
About the Role
An education provider in the Wales is looking for a Progress Coach to join its learner support team. You'll work with learners on a one-to-one and small group basis, helping them build the confidence, organisation and independence they need to complete their programme.
You'll work alongside teaching staff to keep an inclusive learning environment in place, and you'll track each learner's progress so that any barriers are picked up early. No formal teaching qualification is needed — a genuine enthusiasm for supporting learners matters more.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one and group support to mainstream learners and learners with additional learning needs.
- Supporting lecturers to maintain an inclusive learning environment.
- Monitoring learner progress, setting targets and carrying out regular reviews.
- Safeguarding vulnerable learners.
- Maintaining accurate records of the support you deliver.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 2 qualification or higher in English and maths
- Experience supporting learners, or an extensive care background
- Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS check
- Up-to-date safeguarding training, or a willingness to obtain it
Desirable (but not essential):
- Knowledge of additional learning needs
- Experience working with young people in an education setting
If you're ready to help learners overcome barriers and achieve their potential, we'd love to hear from you.
