Plumbing Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the West Midlands
Are you an experienced plumber ready to pass your trade knowledge on to the next generation?
About the Role
We are working with a further education provider in the West Midlands who is looking for a Plumbing Lecturer to join their team, with the role starting from 4 November 2026.
You'll deliver theory and practical sessions across plumbing programmes, helping learners build the skills, knowledge and confidence the industry expects.
If you come from industry rather than teaching, that is welcome. Our client can offer the support you'll need to develop as an educator, so a strong plumbing background matters more than prior classroom experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering plumbing lessons across classroom and workshop settings.
- Assessing learners' work and providing constructive feedback to support their progress.
- Supporting students to achieve their qualifications and prepare for employment or further study.
- Maintaining a safe and effective workshop environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification in plumbing or a related discipline
- Strong industry experience within plumbing
- The ability to motivate and engage learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching or assessing qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience of teaching, training or mentoring
