Plumbing Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the West Midlands
Are you an experienced plumbing professional ready to pass your trade knowledge on to the next generation?
About the Role
We are working with a further education provider in the West Midlands who is looking for a Plumbing Lecturer to join their team, with the role starting from 22 October 2026.
You'll deliver practical and theory sessions that prepare learners for careers in plumbing, helping them build the skills, knowledge and confidence the industry expects.
If you come from industry rather than teaching, that is welcome. Our client can offer the support you'll need to develop as an educator, so a strong plumbing background matters more than prior classroom experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering plumbing lessons across classroom and workshop settings.
- Assessing learners' work and providing constructive feedback to support their progress.
- Tracking learner progress and supporting students to achieve their qualifications.
- Maintaining a safe and effective workshop environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 plumbing qualification or equivalent
- Current or recent industry experience in plumbing
- The ability to motivate and engage learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- An assessor qualification
- Previous experience teaching or training in a further education setting
