Nursery Practitioner
Temporary | Contract
Location: London
Start date: 12 October 2026
Are you passionate about supporting young children in their earliest years of learning?
About the Role
You'll join the nursery team at a further education provider, helping to deliver high-quality care and education for children aged 0 to 5. You'll support daily routines, encourage children's independence and work as part of a close team to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.
No formal teaching qualifications are required — a Level 2 childcare qualification and genuine enthusiasm for working with children are what matter most.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing day-to-day routines, including tidying away nursery activities.
- Preparing snacks and drinks for tea time.
- Supporting children's independence through care routines.
- Attending room and team meetings.
- Working as part of a team to provide quality care and education to a high standard.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 2 childcare qualification
- Level 2 in English and maths
- Experience of working with children aged 0 to 5
- Up-to-date safeguarding training, or a willingness to obtain it
- Enhanced DBS check, or a willingness to obtain one
