Are you an experienced construction professional looking to pass your trade on to the next generation?

About the Role

You'll join a further education provider in the West Midlands, delivering teaching, learning and assessment across multi skills construction programmes. You'll work across both the workshop and the classroom, helping learners build practical trade skills alongside the underpinning knowledge they need.

You'll bring your industry experience into your sessions, supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and progress into employment, an apprenticeship or further study.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering high-quality teaching and learning across multi skills construction programmes.
• Planning engaging practical workshop sessions and classroom lessons.
• Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
• Supporting learners academically and pastorally to help them achieve their goals.
• Maintaining accurate learner records.
• Contributing to curriculum planning and course development.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• A Level 3 vocational qualification in a relevant construction trade
• Level 2 English and maths (or equivalent)
• Hands-on industry experience within construction or a multi-trade environment
• Strong communication and organisational skills

Desirable (but not essential):

• A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
• Experience of teaching or supporting learners, apprentices or trainees in a further education or training setting
