Are you an experienced motor vehicle professional looking to inspire the next generation of technicians?

About the Role

An education provider is looking for a Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join its automotive teaching team. You'll deliver both theory and practical sessions, helping learners build the technical knowledge and hands-on skills they need to progress into employment or an apprenticeship.

You'll plan your lessons, assess learner progress and give clear, constructive feedback, working with full-time learners, adult learners and apprentices in the classroom and the workshop.

If you're new to teaching, that's not a barrier. Industry professionals are welcomed and supported to gain a recognised teaching qualification while they work.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering engaging classroom and workshop-based teaching across motor vehicle programmes.
• Planning lessons and preparing resources and assessments.
• Assessing learner progress and providing timely, constructive feedback.
• Supporting and motivating learners to achieve their full potential.
• Maintaining accurate learner records and contributing to high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
• Promoting a safe, professional workshop environment in line with health and safety standards.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• A Level 3 qualification in motor vehicle (or equivalent)
• Recent industry experience within the motor vehicle sector
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Enthusiasm for developing and inspiring future technicians

Desirable (but not essential):

• A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
• Previous experience teaching or assessing in further education
