Electrical Installation Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Are you a time-served electrician ready to pass your trade on to the next generation?
About the Role
We're supporting an education provider to appoint an Electrical Installation Lecturer. You'll deliver practical workshop and classroom theory sessions across their electrical installation provision, bringing current industry practice into your teaching.
You'll support learners through their qualifications, assessing their work and guiding them towards successful completion and on to employment or further study.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, preparing and delivering high-quality teaching across electrical installation programmes.
- Assessing learner work, giving constructive feedback and carrying out progress reviews.
- Supporting learners to develop their technical skills and employability prospects.
- Contributing to curriculum development so that content reflects current industry standards.
- Supporting learner retention, achievement and progression.
- Keeping your own electrical knowledge and industry practice up to date.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification or equivalent in electrical installation
- Extensive experience in the electrical industry
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
Desirable (but not essential):
- An assessor qualification
- Current 18th Edition BS 7671
- Previous experience of teaching or assessing in further education
