Motor Vehicle Lecturer
Temporary
Location: London
Start date: 9 October 2026
Are you an experienced motor vehicle professional looking to inspire the next generation of technicians?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in London, delivering theory and practical motor vehicle teaching across classroom and workshop settings. You'll plan sessions that build the technical knowledge and hands-on skills learners need to progress into employment or an apprenticeship.
You'll assess learner progress, give constructive feedback and keep the workshop a safe, professional environment that reflects industry standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging classroom and workshop-based lessons.
- Teaching motor vehicle programmes across Levels 1 to 3.
- Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Maintaining accurate learner records.
- Promoting safe, industry-standard workshop practice.
- Contributing to high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 qualification in motor vehicle (or equivalent)
- Industry experience within the motor vehicle sector
- Good communication and organisational skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed or DET
- Previous experience of teaching or assessing in further education
Teaching experience isn't essential. If you're moving across from industry, you'll be supported with teacher training, mentoring and ongoing development.
