Lecturer – Bricklaying & Multi-Skills
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer in Bricklaying & Multi-Skills to join a leading construction team based at a further education college in the Cambridge area.
Role Details
- Hours: Part-time (29.6 hours per week)
- Salary: £29,000 – £43,000 per annum (FTE) | Actual salary: £23,000 – £34,500 per annum

About the Role Seeking an interpersonal, self-motivated candidate with strong industry experience to design and deliver Multi-skills and Bricklaying courses across both practical workshop and theoretical classroom settings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality practical and theoretical instruction to a diverse range of learners
- Providing pastoral and tutorial support to help students achieve their goals
- Contributing to ongoing departmental development and curriculum planning
- Managing course administration, assessments, and progress tracking
Requirements
- Relevant hands-on industry experience within the construction sector
- In-depth subject knowledge backed by at least a Level 3 Vocational Qualification in Bricklaying
- Strong communication skills and a passion for developing the next generation of tradespeople
