Are you an empathetic, patient, and dedicated support professional driven by the belief that every young person deserves an equitable pathway to independence? We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join inclusive educational community. In this role, you will be a vital anchor for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), empowering them to overcome barriers, access the vocational curriculum, and build essential life skills.

Your time will be spent providing direct classroom and workshop support for Level 1 learners, alongside delivering targeted mentoring for students on higher-level courses who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Benefits:

  • A stable 36-week term-time schedule that leaves your academic holidays completely free.
  • Free on-site gym access, voluntary health cash plans, an annual flu vaccination voucher, and dedicated wellbeing support.
  • Free on-site parking, discounted hair and beauty treatments at college salons, and savings on training courses.
  • Comprehensive staff development programs, including mandatory Team Teach training and accredited 'Teaching Essentials' modules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver responsive in-class, workshop, and out-of-class mentoring support as directed by the SEN Team Leader.
  • Act as a key worker for designated EHCP students, monitoring individual targets and actively contributing to the annual EHCP review process.
  • Provide dignified personal care and assistance (including toileting, feeding, or mobility support) when required, following specialized training.

Requirements:

  • English and Maths skills equivalent to GCSE Grade C/4 or Level 2 standard and an Enhanced DBS Certificate.
  • Prior experience supporting young people with learning difficulties, disabilities, or autistic spectrum conditions.

Even if you don't meet every single criteria listed, if you are a resilient individual with a genuine passion for supporting students and a willingness to learn, we would still love to hear from you.

Could this be your next challenge? Please apply via this page with a copy of your CV.
