HR Business Partner

Temporary | Contract

Salary: £43,301 per annum

Start date: October 2026

About the Role

A further education provider is looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to work alongside managers across the organisation, providing practical, commercially sound people advice.

You'll act as a trusted partner to leaders, supporting them on employee relations, workforce planning and organisational change, while making sure policy and employment law are applied consistently and fairly.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with managers to provide advice and guidance on HR matters.
  • Supporting complex employee relations cases through to resolution.
  • Working with leaders on workforce planning, recruitment and retention.
  • Supporting organisational change and restructure activity.
  • Ensuring HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and in line with employment law.
  • Using people data to identify trends and inform decisions.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Experience operating as an HR Business Partner or in a similar generalist HR advisory role
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Confidence advising and influencing managers and senior stakeholders
  • Experience of managing complex employee relations casework

Desirable (but not essential):

  • CIPD qualification
  • Experience within further education or the wider public sector
  • Experience of supporting organisational change
