HNC Site Supervisor Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the West Midlands
Are you an experienced site supervisor or construction professional looking to pass your expertise on to the next generation?
About the Role
A further education provider is looking for an HNC Site Supervisor Lecturer to deliver teaching to learners working towards their Higher National Certificate. You'll bring your site and supervisory experience into the classroom, helping learners build the technical knowledge and professional judgement the industry expects.
You'll plan and prepare your sessions, assess learner work and support individuals through to achievement, working alongside an established teaching team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging, high-quality teaching across HNC site supervision programmes.
- Planning and preparing lesson materials and learning activities.
- Assessing learner work and giving clear, constructive feedback.
- Monitoring learner progress and supporting individuals through to achievement.
- Contributing to curriculum development, ensuring content reflects current industry standards.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Relevant occupational experience in site supervision or construction management
- Strong, up-to-date subject knowledge
- Confidence working with learners at higher-education level
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience of teaching or assessing in further education
