Job Description

Health & Social Care Lecturer

Temporary

Location: the North West

Start date: 28 September 2026

Are you a health or social care professional who would enjoy passing your experience on to the next generation?

About the Role

An education provider is looking for a Health & Social Care Lecturer to join their teaching team. You'll deliver engaging, high-quality sessions that support learners to achieve and progress into careers across the health and social care sectors.

You'll plan and prepare your own materials, assess learners' work and bring your industry knowledge into the classroom.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, preparing and delivering lessons across health and social care.
  • Assessing learners' work and tracking progress towards their target grades.
  • Supporting curriculum development and the preparation of learning materials.
  • Maintaining accurate academic and administrative records.
  • Providing tutorial support and guidance to learners.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • A relevant qualification in health and social care, nursing or a related discipline
  • Experience gained within the health or social care sector
  • Confidence in planning, delivering and assessing to awarding body standards

Desirable (but not essential):

  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • Previous experience of teaching, training or assessing

If you don't yet hold a teaching qualification, that needn't hold you back — industry professionals moving into teaching are supported with training, mentoring and ongoing development.

If you're ready to bring your sector experience into the classroom, we'd love to hear from you.

What's on Offer

  • Training and mentoring support for teaching qualification
  • Ongoing professional development
