About the Role

A further education provider in the East Midlands is looking for a Health and Social Care Lecturer to teach and support learners working towards their qualifications. You'll draw on your own experience in the sector to bring the subject to life, planning and delivering sessions that keep learners engaged and on track.

You'll assess work, give constructive feedback and keep accurate records of progress and achievement.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering health and social care sessions to groups of learners.
• Preparing schemes of work, lesson plans and assessment materials.
• Assessing learner work and providing feedback that supports timely achievement.
• Monitoring progress and offering additional support where learners need it.
• Maintaining accurate records of attendance, progress and assessment decisions.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• A relevant qualification in health and social care
• Experience gained within the health or social care sector
• The ability to engage and motivate learners of differing abilities
• Strong organisational skills and accurate record keeping

Desirable (but not essential):

• A recognised teaching or assessing qualification
• Previous experience of teaching, training or assessing in further education
