Temporary

Are you an experienced construction curriculum leader looking for your next management opportunity within further education?
About the Role
A further education provider in the West Midlands is looking for a Head of Construction to lead and manage the construction curriculum area.
You'll take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and performance of the department, making sure teaching, learning and assessment are consistently high quality and that learners achieve strong outcomes. You'll support and develop your teaching team, and you'll work closely with senior leaders and other curriculum areas to drive improvement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing the construction teaching team.
- Overseeing curriculum delivery, planning and quality.
- Monitoring learner attendance, progress, achievement and retention.
- Supporting and managing staff performance and development.
- Ensuring high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
- Monitoring curriculum KPIs and contributing to improvement planning.
- Managing day-to-day operational issues within the department.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Strong knowledge of construction within further education
- Previous curriculum or departmental leadership experience
- The leadership skills and confidence to take ownership of a curriculum area and manage a team
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience in a similar role, such as Curriculum Manager, Programme Manager or Head of Faculty
