Are you an experienced Further Education, adult skills, training or workforce development professional with strong commercial and employer engagement experience?

We are supporting an education provider in London to appoint a Head of Business Development & Employer Skills.

The Role

A senior leadership position combining commercial leadership, curriculum innovation, employer engagement and operational management.

You will lead the growth of adult skills, professional short courses and employer-led training, working with employers, local authorities and strategic partners to develop provision aligned with workforce demand and emerging skills needs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing employer partnerships and new business opportunities
• Leading adult skills, short course and commercial training provision
• Driving curriculum innovation and income growth
• Managing teams, budgets and income targets
• Leading Careers Education and employability activity
• Supporting strategic projects focused on growth and innovation

About You

You will have:

• Significant experience within Further Education, adult skills, training or workforce development
• Strong experience in business development and employer engagement
• Knowledge of adult funding methodologies
• Experience developing partnerships and delivering projects
• A track record of identifying growth opportunities and managing income targets
• Experience leading teams and operational activity
