ESOL Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the West Midlands
Start date: 19 October 2026
About the Role
A further education provider is looking for an ESOL Lecturer to deliver English for Speakers of Other Languages provision to learners across a range of levels. You'll plan and teach sessions that build learners' speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, and support them towards their qualifications.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging ESOL sessions to learners at a range of levels.
- Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities to support learner progression.
- Marking work, giving feedback and carrying out progress reviews.
- Keeping accurate records of attendance, achievement and awarding body requirements.
- Contributing to curriculum development and the wider teaching team.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A relevant qualification in ESOL or English language teaching
- Experience of teaching or assessing learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one
- Experience of teaching ESOL in a further education setting
