Electrical Lecturer
Permanent | Full Time | 37 Hours per Week
Location: Staffordshire
Salary: £32,753.97 – £45,524.92 per annum + 5% Golden Hello in Year 1

About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Lecturer to join the expanding team at a further education provider. With the introduction of T Levels and green technologies, including EV charging and solar PV, this is a great opportunity for an electrical professional looking to move into further education.
Whether you're already teaching or looking to move into education, support is available to help you achieve a recognised teaching qualification.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging teaching across electrical programmes up to Level 3.
- Delivering both theoretical and practical electrical training.
- Planning and developing engaging lesson plans, schemes of work and learning resources.
- Supporting learners through their studies, providing academic and pastoral guidance.
- Monitoring learner progress and helping students achieve their qualifications and career goals.
- Using innovative teaching methods and digital learning tools to encourage active participation.
- Contributing to the development of the electrical curriculum and new areas of provision.
- Supporting student recruitment, enrichment activities and wider college events.
- Maintaining strong standards of teaching, learning, assessment and safeguarding.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A relevant electrical vocational qualification and strong industry experience
- The ability to teach across a range of electrical subjects up to Level 3
- Strong knowledge of current electrical industry standards and practices
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- A passion for supporting and developing learners
- A flexible and enthusiastic approach to teaching
