About the Role
As a Multi Skills Lecturer, you'll deliver practical and theoretical teaching across a range of vocational disciplines, helping learners build the hands-on skills and knowledge they need to succeed in industry.
You'll plan and lead engaging sessions in both workshop and classroom settings, adapting your approach to suit learners at different stages of their development. Working as part of a supportive team, you'll play a key role in shaping confident, work-ready students.
If you're moving into teaching from industry, that's welcome here. You'll be supported with mentoring and ongoing development to help you make the transition into the classroom.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering practical and theoretical lessons across a range of multi skills disciplines.
- Assessing learners' work and providing constructive, timely feedback.
- Monitoring learner progress and supporting individuals to achieve their goals.
- Maintaining a safe, well-organised and productive learning environment.
- Contributing to the ongoing development of the curriculum and teaching resources.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Relevant industry experience across one or more multi skills or vocational trades
- A recognised qualification in your vocational area
- The ability to engage, motivate and support learners of varying abilities
- Strong communication and organisational skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience teaching or mentoring in an education or training setting
- Assessing or verifying experience
