Electrical Installation Lecturer
Temporary
Location: Yorkshire and the Humber
Start date: 2 November 2026
Are you an experienced electrician looking to pass on your skills and inspire the next generation of tradespeople?
About the Role
A further education provider in Yorkshire and the Humber is looking for an Electrical Installation Lecturer to join its team. You'll deliver both theory and practical workshop sessions, helping learners build the technical knowledge and hands-on skills they need to progress into employment or an apprenticeship.
You'll work with learners of differing abilities and confidence levels, so your ability to explain, demonstrate and motivate will matter as much as your trade background.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering classroom and workshop-based teaching on electrical installation programmes.
- Planning lessons and preparing industry-relevant learning materials.
- Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Maintaining accurate learner records.
- Promoting a safe, professional and positive workshop environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A relevant Level 3 qualification in electrical installation (or equivalent)
- Industry experience in the electrical trade
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience of teaching or assessing in further education
