Electrical Installation Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: Yorkshire and the Humber
Start date: 19 October 2026
Are you a time-served electrician looking to pass your trade on to the next generation?
About the Role
A further education provider in Yorkshire and the Humber is looking for an Electrical Installation Lecturer to join its teaching team. You'll deliver both practical workshop sessions and classroom theory, drawing on your industry experience to keep the content current and relevant.
You'll support learners through their programme, track their progress and help them build the technical skills and confidence they need for their next step.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality teaching across Electrical Installation courses.
- Preparing, marking and assessing work in line with awarding body requirements.
- Supporting learners in developing their practical skills and employability.
- Monitoring learner progress and providing support where it is needed.
- Contributing to curriculum development and the wider work of the teaching team.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Electrical Installation
- Industry experience in the electrical trade
- Confident classroom and workshop management
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one
- An assessor qualification
- Previous experience of teaching in a further education setting
