Director of SEND
Temporary | Contract
Are you an experienced SEND leader ready to take on a senior leadership role within an education provider?
About the Role
You'll provide strategic and operational leadership across SEND provision for an education provider, setting the direction for inclusive practice and making sure learners with additional needs get the support they need to progress.
You'll lead and develop curriculum and support teams, monitor quality and outcomes, and work closely with senior colleagues and external partners.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing strategic and operational leadership across SEND provision.
- Leading, managing and developing curriculum and support teams.
- Driving curriculum quality, development and improvement.
- Monitoring learner progress, achievement and progression.
- Supporting EHCP processes, consultations and placement decisions.
- Using data to monitor performance and drive improvement.
- Working with senior leaders, SENCos and external agencies.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Senior leadership or curriculum management experience within education
- Strong knowledge of SEND provision, EHCP processes and inclusive practice
- Experience of leading, managing and developing teams
- Experience of using data to improve learner outcomes
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification
- Experience of leading teams through inspection
