Cleaning Supervisor
Temporary | Contract
Location: Yorkshire and the Humber
Start date: 12 October 2026
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider to supervise the day-to-day cleaning operation, making sure teaching spaces and communal areas are clean, safe and ready for learners and staff.
You'll lead and organise a cleaning team, setting the standard for the work and supporting colleagues to meet it.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising the cleaning team and allocating daily tasks and areas.
- Monitoring standards of cleanliness and addressing any shortfalls.
- Ensuring cleaning is carried out safely and in line with health and safety requirements.
- Managing stock levels of cleaning materials and equipment.
- Supporting the training and induction of cleaning staff.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience of cleaning work in a comparable environment
- Confidence supervising and organising a team
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Awareness of health and safety requirements relating to cleaning
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience of working in an education setting
