Cleaner
Temporary | Contract
Location: the West Midlands
About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Cleaner to join a further education provider in the West Midlands. You'll help keep teaching spaces, offices and communal areas clean, tidy and safe for learners, staff and visitors.
You'll work as part of a wider site team, following agreed cleaning schedules and taking pride in the standard of the environment you maintain.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning classrooms, offices, corridors, washrooms and communal areas to the required standard.
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste correctly.
- Using cleaning equipment and materials safely and in line with health and safety guidance.
- Reporting maintenance issues, damage or hazards to the appropriate member of staff.
- Maintaining stock levels of cleaning supplies and consumables.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A reliable, thorough approach and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- An understanding of health and safety and safe working practices
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous cleaning experience, ideally in a school, college or similar setting
- A relevant health and safety or COSHH awareness certificate
