Cleaner
Temporary
Location: Yorkshire and the Humber
About the Role
An education provider is looking to appoint a Cleaner to help keep its sites clean, safe and welcoming for learners, staff and visitors.
You'll carry out general cleaning duties across classrooms, offices, corridors and washrooms, working to agreed standards and schedules. It's a practical, hands-on role where you'll work both on your own initiative and as part of a wider site team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning classrooms, offices, corridors, communal areas and washrooms to the required standard.
- Emptying bins and removing waste to the designated collection points.
- Replenishing consumables such as soap, paper towels and toilet rolls.
- Using cleaning equipment, materials and chemicals safely and in line with health and safety guidance.
- Reporting maintenance issues, damage or hazards to the appropriate person.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A reliable, flexible approach and good timekeeping
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- An awareness of health and safety in a cleaning environment
- A willingness to work in an environment with young people and adult learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous cleaning experience, ideally within a school, college or similar setting
- Knowledge of COSHH and safe use of cleaning products
