About the role
An education provider is looking for a skilled and reliable chef to join their catering team. This is a hands-on kitchen role, working as part of a busy operation to prepare and serve food to a high standard.
You'll be responsible for the day-to-day preparation and cooking of meals, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, and contributing to the smooth running of the catering service. This is an ongoing contract with an immediate start available.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and cooking food to a consistently high standard.
- Working as part of the kitchen team to deliver an efficient catering service.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised kitchen environment.
- Following food safety and hygiene procedures at all times.
What we're looking for
Essential:
- Proven experience working as a chef in a professional kitchen
- A sound understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
- Enhanced DBS
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience working within an educational or large-scale catering setting
