ESOL Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the South East
Start date: 12 October 2026
Are you an experienced ESOL professional ready to help learners build the language skills they need to thrive?
About the Role
Our client, a further education provider, is looking for an ESOL Lecturer to join their team. You'll deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across ESOL programmes, helping learners develop their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills with confidence.
You'll plan and prepare your sessions, assess learner work and track progress, working alongside a supportive team to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging, high-quality teaching across ESOL programmes.
- Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities that support learner progression and achievement.
- Setting, monitoring and reviewing individual learning targets.
- Providing constructive feedback and pastoral support to help learners achieve their goals.
- Maintaining accurate records of attendance, progress and achievement.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain an inclusive learning environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A relevant qualification in ESOL or a related subject
- Experience of teaching or supporting learners with English language development
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage learners of all abilities
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Experience of working in a further education setting
