Business Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the South West
Start date: 12 October 2026
Are you a business professional or experienced lecturer who enjoys helping learners connect theory with the world of work?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the South West to plan, deliver and assess Business across its programmes. You'll teach engaging sessions that build both subject knowledge and employability skills, preparing learners to progress into higher education, apprenticeships or employment.
You'll work as part of a supportive teaching team, contributing to curriculum development as well as the day-to-day classroom experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging, high-quality teaching and assessment across Business programmes.
- Planning and preparing learning activities that support learner progression and achievement.
- Developing resources and curriculum content that reflect current industry practice.
- Maintaining accurate records of learner performance and completing associated administration.
- Contributing to course reviews and internal quality procedures.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Strong subject knowledge in Business
- Occupational competence and relevant industry experience
- Experience of teaching or assessing learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Experience of delivering across a range of levels
