Art & Design Lecturer
Temporary
Location: the South East
Are you an experienced art and design professional looking to pass your creative skills on to the next generation?
About the Role
As Art & Design Lecturer, you'll deliver engaging art and design teaching for an education provider in the South East, supporting learners to build their creative, practical and technical skills.
You'll plan and deliver sessions that suit a range of starting points and abilities, assessing work and tracking progress so that every learner is supported through to achievement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging art and design lessons.
- Developing learners' creative, practical and employability skills.
- Assessing work and providing constructive feedback that helps learners progress.
- Monitoring learner progress and maintaining accurate records.
- Supporting learners to achieve and progress onto their next steps.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Strong art and design subject knowledge
- Experience teaching, assessing or instructing learners
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- A creative and inclusive approach to supporting learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
