Aerospace Engineering Assessor
Temporary | Contract
Start date: 9 October 2026
Are you an experienced aerospace engineering professional looking to pass on your technical knowledge to the next generation?
About the Role
An education provider is seeking an Aerospace Engineering Assessor to support learners working towards their qualifications in aerospace engineering. You'll assess practical and theory work, track progress and give learners the guidance they need to achieve.
You'll build positive relationships with learners and employers, keeping your assessment practice grounded in current industry standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing learner work against the relevant qualification and apprenticeship standards.
- Carrying out progress reviews and setting clear actions for timely completion.
- Providing constructive feedback and technical support where learners need it.
- Maintaining accurate portfolio and assessment records.
- Working with employers to ensure training reflects real workplace demands.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification in aerospace or a related engineering discipline
- Hands-on industry experience in aerospace engineering
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to developing learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- An assessor award or teaching qualification
- Previous experience assessing in a training or further education setting
