Maintaining Professional Boundaries

This policy outlines the responsibilities of all workers placed by Dovetail & Slate to maintain clear, appropriate, and professional boundaries when working with learners, including children and vulnerable adults. It provides guidance on acceptable and unacceptable behaviours, communication, confidentiality, and conduct to ensure a safe, respectful, and professional learning environment. The policy supports safeguarding, child protection, Prevent, KCSIE, and safer recruitment requirements, helping protect both learners and staff from harm, misunderstandings, or misconduct. It also explains the consequences of failing to uphold professional boundaries and reinforces the duty to report safeguarding concerns appropriately.
