About the Role

Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant passionate about making a real difference? Sandwell College is hosting an exclusive recruitment event to find dedicated Foundation Learning Support Assistants to join our growing team.

What does a Foundation Learning LSA do?

This specific role is focused on supporting our high needs learners. You will play a vital role as a positive role model, delivering high-quality 1:1 or small group support for students, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or EHCPs.

Important Note: Because this role focuses on high needs learners, some students require personal care. We are specifically looking for candidates who are comfortable and experienced with providing this level of support.

Group Icebreaker

A small group discussion to introduce yourself, share your motivations, and showcase your communication skills.

09:45 – 10:30

Literacy & Numeracy Task

Reviewing a short Maths and English exercise and presenting how you would adapt it for a learner with additional needs.

10:30 – 12:00

Panel Interviews & Networking

A structured interview to explore your experience and problem-solving skills. When not interviewing, you can enjoy refreshments in our breakout room and chat with the Dovetail team about your career.
