Are you an experienced welding professional looking to pass your skills on to the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join the engineering team at an education provider, delivering practical and theoretical teaching to learners working towards welding qualifications. Whether you're already teaching or currently working in industry, we'd like to hear from you.
You'll help learners build the technical knowledge, practical skills and professional behaviours they need to progress into employment, apprenticeships or further study within the engineering sector.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons across a range of welding subjects.
- Supporting practical workshop activities alongside classroom delivery.
- Assessing learners' work in line with awarding body requirements and providing constructive feedback.
- Monitoring learner progress and putting timely support in place where it's needed.
- Maintaining safe, industry-standard workshop practices.
- Working with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in welding or a closely related discipline
- Recent industry experience in welding
- A genuine interest in developing others and sharing your technical knowledge
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Experience delivering apprenticeship training
- An assessing qualification
If you don't have teaching experience, that's no barrier — we welcome applications from industry professionals.
If you're ready to use your trade experience to shape future careers, we'd love to hear from you.
