Skills Coach - Plumbing
Permanent - Part Time
Location: Hull
Salary: £19,000 per annum
Are you an experienced plumbing professional looking to inspire and support the next generation of tradespeople?
About the Role
As a Skills Coach for Plumbing, you'll work closely with learners to guide their development, build their confidence and help them apply their skills in real, practical settings. You'll draw on your industry experience to support each learner through their programme.
You'll provide one-to-one and group coaching, monitor progress and help learners overcome barriers to achieving their qualifications. Working alongside teaching staff, you'll play a key part in helping aspiring plumbers reach their potential.
If you come from industry rather than education, that's welcome. Where relevant, the provider offers support to help you develop your coaching and teaching practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coaching and supporting learners working towards their plumbing qualifications.
- Monitoring learner progress and providing constructive, developmental feedback.
- Helping learners apply their practical and theoretical knowledge in the workshop and on placement.
- Identifying barriers to learning and putting the right support in place.
- Working alongside teaching and assessment staff to help learners succeed.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Relevant experience in the plumbing trade
- A genuine interest in supporting and developing learners
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to helping learners achieve their goals
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching, coaching or assessing qualification
- Previous experience mentoring or supporting others in a workplace or training setting
Ready to shape the next generation of tradespeople?
If you're ready to share your plumbing expertise and help learners build the skills and confidence they need, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today.
