Senior Technician
Temporary | Contract
Location: the West Midlands
Start date: September 2026
About the Role
A further education provider in the West Midlands is looking for two Senior Technicians to join them on a contract basis.
You'll provide hands-on technical support to teaching staff and learners, making sure practical sessions run smoothly, safely and on time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing equipment, materials and resources ahead of practical teaching sessions.
- Supporting lecturers and learners during workshop and practical activities.
- Maintaining equipment and keeping technical areas in safe working order.
- Managing stock and ensuring resources are available when they are needed.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A relevant technical or trade qualification
- Practical, hands-on experience in a technical role
- A safety-conscious, organised approach to work
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience of working in a further education or training environment
