SEND Teacher
Contract | £30 - £35 per hour
Location: Oxford
Start date: September 2026
Are you a dedicated SEND teacher who wants to make a genuine difference to the learning and development of young people with additional needs?
About the Role
As a SEND Teacher, you'll plan and deliver inclusive, engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of learners with special educational needs and disabilities. Working with a large FE College in Oxfordshire you'll create a supportive environment where every learner can overcome barriers and reach their potential.
You'll adapt your teaching to a range of abilities and learning styles, drawing on individual education plans to shape the support each learner receives. Working alongside support staff and colleagues, you'll help learners build confidence, independence in work and life skills
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering differentiated lessons on preparation for work, life skills and functional skills
- Adapting resources and teaching methods to remove barriers to learning.
- Working closely with support staff to provide effective in-class and individual support.
- Maintaining a safe, inclusive and encouraging learning environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Experience of teaching or supporting learners with special educational needs and disabilities
- DBS
