Job Title: SEND Support Workers (Multiple Posts Available)
Salary: FTE £26,567 (Pro rata based on hours and weeks)
Hours & Weeks: 18, 24, or 30 hours per week | All roles are 38 weeks per year (Term-Time)
Location: Multiple Locations (Huddersfield area)

The Role
Based within the SEND Department (Student Experience), these positions provide exceptional student support across all curriculum areas and college sites. You will work with the most vulnerable SEND students to support their learning, achievement, and progression into adulthood, both inside and outside the classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop supportive, professional relationships with students, utilizing tailored strategies to promote and reinforce their self-esteem.
- Provide physical and personal care support to students as required.
- Work collaboratively under the direction of the class tutor while confidently using your own initiative.
- Champion the college's core values of Kindness, Unity, and Excellence in your daily role.

About You
The ideal candidates will have a passion for the transformative power of education and a culture of mutual support.
Requirements:
- Experience (Essential): Previous experience working with young people in an educational capacity, with a strong understanding of EHCPs and SEND.
- Skills (Essential): Proven knowledge of different learning needs, a toolkit of strategies to support student independence, and excellent digital and communication skills.
- Qualifications (Essential): A minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy (e.g., GCSE English and Maths at grade A*–C / 4 or above) alongside a minimum Level 2 qualification relevant to the post.
- Language Proficiency (Essential): The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
