We are seeking a dedicated educator with expertise in social, emotional, and mental health needs to lead primary-aged learners through the summer term.
This specialist educational setting focuses on providing bespoke support to children who require a tailored approach to their learning and wellbeing. The school prides itself on fostering an inclusive environment where every pupil is empowered to overcome barriers to education.
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality primary education tailored to the specific developmental needs of children with SEMH profiles.
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the specialist curriculum for the remainder of the academic year.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively by utilizing proven de-escalation techniques and positive behaviour support.
- Monitor and record student progress to ensure educational targets are being met within the specified timeframe.
- Collaborate with the wider support team to maintain a safe and productive learning atmosphere for all students.
Essential Requirements
- Hold a recognized UK teaching credential such as a PGCE or Bachelor of Education.
- Demonstrate significant prior experience working within a dedicated SEMH or alternative provision environment.
- Possess full Qualified Teacher Status having already successfully completed the ECT induction period.
- Exhibit a profound understanding of the challenges faced by primary learners with complex emotional needs.
- Provide evidence of a current Enhanced DBS check or a willingness to undergo immediate vetting.
