Are you a Science teacher looking for your next classroom challenge?
About the Role
A multi-academy trust is seeking a Science teacher to deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students and support their academic and personal development. You'll teach across the Science curriculum, bringing strong subject knowledge and clear, well-structured delivery to every lesson.
You'll work alongside a supportive department, contributing to curriculum planning and helping learners achieve strong outcomes in both theory and practical work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured Science lessons.
- Supporting learners with practical work, coursework and exam preparation.
- Assessing progress and providing clear, constructive feedback.
- Adapting your teaching to support mixed-ability learners.
- Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental development.
- Maintaining a safe, inclusive and purposeful learning environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- QTS, QTLS, PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Combined Science
- Experience teaching Science in a secondary setting
- Confidence delivering both theory and practical lessons
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable (but not essential):
- Ability to teach across multiple levels
- A track record of strong learner achievement and progression
