Psychology teacher
Temporary | Full Time
Location: London
Start date: August 2026
Are you a Psychology specialist who can bring the subject to life and inspire students to think critically?
About the Role
A school is looking for an enthusiastic Teacher of Psychology to join its team. You'll deliver engaging, high-quality lessons and create a positive classroom environment in which every student is supported to achieve.
You'll work alongside a collaborative team of colleagues, contributing to curriculum planning and sharing resources and good practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality Psychology lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Monitoring and assessing student progress, using data to inform teaching and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour and a safe, motivating learning environment.
- Building positive relationships with students, parents and carers.
- Working with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and teaching resources.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant degree
- Secondary teaching experience, including teaching practice
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of assessment and lesson planning
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience teaching Psychology at A Level
- Experience acting as a Form Tutor
