JOB DESCRIPTION
POST TITLE: Lecturer – Plumbing LOCATION: Newbury, Berkshire HOURS: 37 hours per week CONTRACT: Full Time, Permanent SALARY: £33,656 - £39,034 per annum (plus potential £3,000 market premium)
- Deliver engaging and effective teaching across 16–19, adult and apprenticeship programmes
- Plan and deliver lessons covering:
- Assess learner progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and achievement
- Support learners to achieve their qualifications and progress into employment
- Contribute to curriculum development to ensure content remains industry relevant
- Support students with varying abilities and learning needs
- Participate in team meetings, CPD and college activities
Essential:
- Level 3 qualification in Plumbing or Domestic Heating
- Relevant industry experience in Plumbing
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Willingness to work towards a teaching qualification
- Teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed or equivalent)
- Assessor and Internal Verifier qualifications
- Experience delivering in Further Education or Apprenticeships
