Location: Greater Manchester
Salary: Up to £49,500 per annum
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Plumbing Lecturer to join a leading Further Education provider in Greater Manchester. We are seeking a passionate industry professional to deliver high-quality teaching and assessment to learners studying Plumbing qualifications and apprenticeships.

You will be responsible for teaching and supporting learners across Level 1 and Level 2 Plumbing programmes, including BPEC qualifications and Plumbing Apprenticeships, helping them develop the technical skills and industry knowledge required for successful careers in the sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching across Level 1 and Level 2 Plumbing programmes.
  • Teach and assess learners undertaking BPEC Plumbing qualifications and Apprenticeship Standards.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons and practical workshop sessions.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide timely feedback and support.
  • Conduct assessments in line with awarding body and apprenticeship requirements.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and documentation.
  • Promote high standards of health and safety within workshop environments.
  • Support curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A full Plumbing qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training or equivalent).
  • An Assessor Award (TAQA, A1, CAVA or equivalent).
  • Recent and relevant industry experience within the plumbing sector.
  • Experience delivering or assessing vocational qualifications and/or apprenticeships.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for developing future plumbing professionals.
