Plumbing & Gas Tutor – Brand New Centre
Location: South London/Kent Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week Salary: Up to £45,000 (depending on experience)
Are you an experienced Plumbing professional looking for a fresh start? This is a unique opportunity to join a newly opened training centre – a completely blank slate where you'll have the freedom to shape the environment, establish your own teaching style, and make a genuine impact from day one.
We're working with a well-established, nationally recognised training provider who is expanding into a brand new site, offering state-of-the-art facilities and an opportunity for you to put your own spin on how things are done.
The Role:
As a Plumbing Tutor, you'll be delivering both theoretical and practical training up to Level 3, supporting apprentices through their qualifications and helping develop the next generation of industry professionals. You'll be working closely with learners, training officers, and employers to ensure each apprentice progresses successfully.
Key responsibilities include:
- Teaching Plumbing (Level 3), including PMES theory and practical elements
- Assessing learner coursework in line with awarding body standards
- Providing progress reports and pastoral support
- Maintaining a safe, well-stocked and disciplined workshop environment
- Collaborating with industry professionals and participating in events
What You'll Need:
Essential:
- Level 3 Plumbing Qualification (e.g. NVQ3 / Advanced Craft Certificate)
- Relevant Gas Safe qualifications and on-site experience
- A teaching qualification (CertEd or equivalent)
- Strong presentation, communication, and IT skills
- A learner-first mindset and desire to shape a new training environment
- Assessor and/or Internal Verifier qualifications (A1, TAQA, V1 etc.)
- IOSH Managing Safely or similar H&S training
- Experience within the building services or contracting industry
