Job Description

Plastering Lecturer

Temporary | Contract

Location: Yorkshire and the Humber

Start date: October 2026

Are you an experienced plasterer looking to pass your trade skills on to the next generation?

About the Role

An education provider is looking for a Plastering Lecturer to deliver practical and theory sessions to learners working towards industry-recognised qualifications.

You'll plan and deliver engaging workshop and classroom sessions, assess learner progress and help students build the technical skills, safe working habits and confidence they need to step into the construction industry.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering practical and theory plastering sessions.
  • Teaching learners from beginner level through to industry readiness.
  • Assessing learner work and tracking progress towards qualifications.
  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety within the workshop.
  • Supporting curriculum delivery and development.
  • Creating a positive, well-structured learning environment that motivates learners to achieve.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Level 2 (or higher) vocational qualification in Plastering
  • Substantial hands-on industry experience as a plasterer
  • Strong communication and workshop management skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire learners of differing abilities

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Teaching qualification or assessor award
  • Previous experience of teaching, training or mentoring

You don't need to have taught before. If you have the trade behind you and the willingness to share it, support is available to help you make the move into teaching.

Shape the Next Generation of Tradespeople

If you're ready to put your trade experience to work in the classroom and workshop, we'd love to hear from you.
