Plastering Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the North West
Start date: 1 September 2026
Are you an experienced plasterer looking to pass your skills on to the next generation of tradespeople?
About the Role
A further education provider in the North West is looking for a Plastering Lecturer to deliver practical and theory sessions to learners working towards careers in the trade.
You'll use your industry experience to bring the subject to life, taking learners from beginner level through to industry readiness. Whether you've taught before or you're coming straight from the trade, support is available to help you make the move into teaching.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging practical and theory-based sessions in plastering.
- Planning lessons, schemes of work and learning resources.
- Assessing learner work and keeping accurate records of progress and achievement.
- Supporting, motivating and inspiring learners to achieve their potential.
- Preparing learners for progression into employment or further study.
- Maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and workshop safety.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Strong industry experience in plastering
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to motivate learners and create an engaging learning environment
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification or assessor award
- Previous experience of teaching, training or mentoring
- Willingness to work towards a teaching qualification if not already held
