Job Title: Plant Operator Coach / Assessor – Kent to Farnborough Region

Pension: Standard Professional Pension Scheme Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week Contract: Permanent

A leading training provider is seeking a Plant Operator Coach / Assessor to support and develop learners across the South East region, operating with a balanced schedule split between remote working and on-site delivery across two primary hubs.

The Role:

• Coach, mentor, and monitor learners working toward plant operations and engineering standards.

• Teach and assess basic maintenance on plant machinery alongside operating techniques.

• Conduct regular technical assessments, workplace observations, and formal progress reviews.

• Manage a dedicated caseload of learners, providing constructive feedback and monitoring digital e-portfolios.

• Split delivery efficiently between working from home and on-site training across two designated regional locations.

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Plant Operations, Construction Plant, or Maintenance Engineering.

• Strong technical background in heavy plant machinery operations and basic mechanical maintenance.

• Recognized teaching, training, assessor, or mentoring qualification.

• Prior experience working within a military, defense, or highly regulated technical environment is highly ideal.

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites across Kent and Farnborough.
