Plant operations Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the North West
Start date: 18 August 2026
Are you an experienced plant operator looking to step out of the cab and pass your trade on to the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the North West, delivering plant operations training to learners working towards their qualifications. Across classroom sessions and practical workshops, you'll bring your industry experience into the teaching environment and help learners build the skills employers are looking for.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging theory and practical plant operations sessions.
- Adapting your teaching to meet the individual needs of learners.
- Assessing learner work and tracking progress towards qualification completion.
- Producing learning resources to support the programme.
- Keeping accurate records and completing associated administrative tasks.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 (or higher) qualification in plant operations or a related construction discipline
- Industry experience you can draw on in the workshop and classroom
- The ability to motivate and support learners to achieve
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching or assessing qualification
- Previous experience of delivering training in a further education setting
