PE Teacher
Temporary | Contract
Start date: October 2026
Are you a PE Teacher looking for your next opportunity within a multi-academy trust?
About the Role
You'll plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across a range of year groups, encouraging pupils of all abilities to take part, build confidence and enjoy being active.
You'll work alongside a supportive department, tracking progress and helping pupils achieve their potential in both practical and theory work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality PE lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Adapting teaching to meet the needs of pupils across a range of abilities.
- Monitoring, assessing and tracking pupil progress.
- Managing behaviour positively and promoting engagement and participation.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.
- Supporting extra-curricular sport and enrichment activities.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Strong PE subject knowledge
- Recognised teaching qualification such as QTS, QTLS, PGCE, Cert Ed or DET
- Experience teaching PE within a multi-academy trust
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Able to differentiate effectively for individual needs
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience teaching GCSE or BTEC PE
- Experience coaching or leading extra-curricular sport
