Paint and Decorating Assessor
Temporary | Contract
Location: the North West
Start Date: 19 August 2026
Are you an experienced painter and decorator looking to pass on your trade skills and inspire the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider to support learners working towards their painting and decorating qualifications, helping them build the practical and technical skills they need to succeed in the industry.
You'll work closely with your learners throughout their programme, planning assessments around them and giving the feedback that keeps them moving forward.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting a caseload of painting and decorating learners through their qualifications.
- Liaising with learners to plan and undertake assessments.
- Delivering high quality training and feedback.
- Monitoring learner progress and supporting them through all aspects of their programme.
- Creating resources to support teaching and assessment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Painting and Decorating
- Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Desirable (but not essential):
- An assessing or teaching qualification
- Experience in teaching or assessing
