Multi-skills tutor
Temporary | Contract
Location: Yorkshire and the Humber
Start date: 9 September 2026
Are you a skilled tradesperson ready to pass your practical knowledge on to the next generation?
About the Role
A further education provider in Yorkshire and the Humber is looking for a Multi Skills Tutor to deliver practical and theory sessions across a range of trade areas. You'll plan and deliver engaging sessions, adapt your approach to a range of abilities, and bring your industry experience into the workshop.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality practical and theory sessions across multi skills programmes.
- Preparing schemes of work, resources and assessments.
- Assessing learner progress, marking work and giving constructive feedback.
- Contributing to curriculum development and quality improvement.
- Working alongside curriculum colleagues and support staff to ensure inclusive practice.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Industry experience and/or a Level 3 qualification in a relevant trade area
- A recognised teaching qualification, or a genuine willingness to work towards one
- Strong workshop and classroom management skills
- A commitment to supporting learners from a range of backgrounds
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience of teaching or assessing within further education
- An assessor qualification such as TAQA or CAVA
